Hello. It’s time for some reading updates of the week.
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and currently revived by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words
The three Ws stands for the following questions.
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently Reading: The Stationery Shop of Tehran by Marjan Kamali
A dreamy, fairytale like love story is building up so far and I’m scared something bad is going to happen. Apart from that, the pace of this book is very slow.
Recently finished: We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
I loved reading this one. It is a gentle reminder of the apt meaning of Feminism. Adichie talks about her personal experiences of being treated differently and how she dealt with it. It is a must-read essay and will definitely leave us with thoughts to mull over from our own lives. She is one of my favorite female authors. I have read her other works Half of A Yellow Sun and Americanah. You can check out my review of Half of a Yellow Sun here.
Next Read: Anxious People by Fredrik Backman
This is a highly talked about book which is not much of a surprise given the reputation Backman has. I loved A Man Called Ove and can’t stop talking about it. So, I’m very excited about this one. You can check out my review of A Man Called Ove here.
What is your WWW? Have you read any of these books? If not, do any of the title interests you?
I’m on the wait list at the library for Anxious People because I’ve heard so much about it. Can’t wait to read more. Here’s my WWW https://bargainsleuth2010.wordpress.com/2020/09/23/www-wednesday-september-twenty-third/

I don’t usually read books with a lot of romance in them but The Stationery Shop of Tehran sounds interesting! I hope it picks up for you.

Thank you. The romance part is very nice but it is the aftermath that I am scared about . I hope I feel different when I finish it.

Huh, I haven’t seen that copy of Anxious People yet, but I kind of like it! Definitely better than the bunny covers some countries had. x.X They’re creepy. I absolutely love Backman’s work, so I’m super excited to read that, too! Hope you enjoy it.
Here’s my WWW post.

I guess this one is specifically for India because I haven’t seen this copy elsewhere. I love Backman’s works too. Have you read A Man Called Ove?

Definitely want to check out Anxious People! Do you suggest reading A Man Called Ove first, or are they both standalones?
Happy reading 🙂

They are both standalone books. You can start with Anxious People but please do try to read A Man Called Ove also. It’s a great book. Thanks for visiting.

Thanks a lot. Sadly, it didn’t. But I think I am at fault for not sticking with one book for long.
