Award | Liebster Award

liebster

Greetings to one and all.

This happened. Yes, Liebster Award.

Bookgraphy and shadowriverdaleharley very kindly nominated me ages ago for this award. Apologies for getting around doing this so very late. Honestly, I can’t thank you guys enough because once upon a time I was fascinated by this award. Now that I have been nominated let’s go over the rules very quickly.

  1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog/post
  2. Answer the nominator’s 11 questions
  3. Come up with your own set of 11 questions to be answered by your nominees
  4. Nominate 11 bloggers of your choosing – don’t forget to tag them, provide a link to their blogs.

My Answers (Merging the question sets):

  • Which was your first favorite book?

I read Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë way back in school and immediately fell in love with reading. This book is not only my first favorite but very close to my heart.

  • Where is your favorite place you’ve ever been?

I am not the right person to answer this because I haven’t been to many places.

  • What book character reminds you of yourself?

Hermoine from Harry Potter.

  • Do you prefer physical books, ebooks or audiobooks?

Physical books. I do read ebooks sometimes but I prefer physical books more.

  • Which Fantasy creature would you love to have as a pet?

Hippogriff. These creatures look gigantic and dangerous but are tender once you get to know them.

  • Who would be your dream book girl/boyfriend?

Faramir from Lord of the Rings series.

  • What’s your favorite Superhero?

None. Though I would like to watch Wonder Woman.

  • What book has influenced you the most and why?

The Lord of the Rings series. Predictable me!😅 My fondness for Hobbits and The Lord Of The Rings dates back to the times I started exploring the reading world. Since then my love is growing exponentially with every passing day. Not only do I relate to the characters, the world created by Tolkien feels like my own.

  • Other than Blogging, what are your hobbies?

Recently, I have started cooking so I am building up as a hobby.

  • What’s your favorite quote or personal mantra?

“It’s like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn’t want to know the end… because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing… this shadow. Even darkness must pass.”
― J.R.R. TolkienThe Two Towers

  • Who inspires you?

So many people.

Another set:

  • Short book or Long book:  It doesn’t really matter as long as I enjoy the book
  • New adult or YA books: None
  • What is your favorite TV show: Friends
  • Favorite TV character: Barney Stinson
  • Favorite Drink: Anything with lemon
  • Least favorite book character: Isabella Swan from Twilight. I find her senseless.
  • Grape or Orange soda: Didn’t try any yet.
  • Edward or Jacob: None
  • The Vampire Diaries or Twilight: Haven’t watched The Vampire Diaries and don’t like Twilight.
  • Do you collect anything? Bookmarks
  • Favorite item of clothing: Skirts

I’m pretty sure this award has been circulated by now. So, if you are reading this and you aren’t nominated, you are now. Thank you for stopping by.

  1. I’ve never actually read Jane Eyre, but I’ve seen like, three different movie adaptions and I read My Plain Jane (which is a retelling)…….but I really should read the actual book since um, it’s a beautiful classic. Anyways, congrats on your nomination! I enjoyed reading your answers to all of the questions.

    1. I have seen movie adaptations but I have never read retellings of the classics. I think I should read more retellings starting with My Plain Jane. Thank you very much.
